China has expressed concerns about North Korea’s planed satellite launch saying that parties would do nothing to jeopardize peace on the Korean peninsula. Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesman Qin Gang said yesterday that Pyongyang has the right to use space for peaceful purposes, but those rights need to be exercised in the compliance with UN resolutions. The spokesman added that all parties involved need to stay calm to avoid precipitating crisis.  North Korea's Committee for Space Technology said a Kwangmyongsong-3 Satellite will be launched by an Unha-3 rocket at the Sohae Satellite Launch Station between December 10 and December 22. Pyongyang affirmed that the launch is for peaceful scientific research and is fully compliant with relevant international law. The US and its allies say the launch is to test a ballistic missile capable of carrying nuclear warheads.
