(VOVworld) – The US Department of Defense said on Saturday that China will return an unmanned underwater vehicle (UUV) seized this week in the East Sea.

On Thursday, the US military accused the Chinese Navy of seizing the USNS Bowditch’s information collecting device for scientific research about 50 nautical miles northwest of Subic Bay. The US authorities said the drone is run by a private company and measures salinity and temperatures of sea water.
