Coronavirus spikes in US, Spain
(VOVWORLD) - The novel coronavirus has infected more than 930,000 people and killed over 47,000 worldwide, according to a Johns Hopkins University tally.
Spain, second only to Italy in the number of recorded fatalities, has seen 920 deaths in the last 24 hours, the highest number it has had in a single day, Johns Hopkins University said.
The coronavirus death toll in the US rose by 880 in 24 hours, the data said. One of the latest cases was a 6-week-old infant in Connecticut.
