(VOVworld) – It’s necessary to step up corruption prevention efforts with more practical and effective measures, Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong said at a national conference in Hanoi on Monday on how to fight corruption. Trong stressed the importance of the event, the first of its kind held since the establishment of a Central Steering Committee for Corruption Prevention in early 2013. A report delivered at the conference said anti-corruption efforts saw some initial positive outcomes in 2013, including more efficient handling of corruption cases. Party committees at all levels were urged to perfect political and socio-economic institutions and improve corruption prevention communications.
