The three leaders said that a resolution could be achieved through dialogue rather than sanctions. The leaders had updated each other on contacts they had had as part of efforts to resolve the row between Qatar and fellow Arab Gulf states.

Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu arrived in Saudi Arabia on Friday for talks with King Salman, continuing efforts to resolve the Gulf's biggest diplomatic crisis in years. Earlier, Cavusoglu traveled to Qatar and Kuwait. Meanwhile, Secretary of State Rex Tillerson said to continue efforts to resolve crisis in the Middle East through direct meetings as well as telephone conversations with other leaders of countries in this region.
