The newspaper reported that since launching the renewal process in 1986, Vietnam has developed from a war-torn country into a strong economy in Southeast Asia, with considerable achievements in human resource development. The development of major cities such as Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh city, Hai Phong, DaNang, and Ba Ria Vung Tau shows a thriving Vietnam. The newspaper quoted Jesus Aise Sotolongo, former Cuban ambassador to Vietnam, who said that Vietnam’s renewal process has continuously promoted the development of the forces of production and taken advantage of social potentials and the opportunities presented by globalization to integrate into the world. Vietnam has applied the rules of the socialist oriented market economy, making them suitable to the country’s conditions. The newspaper highlighted the achievements in renewal from the late 1980s to the 11th National Party Congress in 2011, saying that the resolution at the Congress acknowledged that the renewal process was a profound and thorough revolution.
