The event is one of the world’s largest international energy forums, co-organized by the Government and the Ministry of Energy of Russia, and the Roscongress Foundation.
This year’s forum has drawn more than 5,000 delegates from 85 countries, including heads of state, government leaders, representatives of international organizations and major energy corporations, and global experts.
High on the agenda are energy security, green transition, technological development, and international cooperation in a complex geopolitical context. A sideline exhibition will showcase new technologies and equipment, and innovations in oil and gas, renewable energy, and nuclear power, underscoring Russia’s central role in the global energy supply chain.
During a working session with the Embassy of Vietnam and representatives of Vietnamese agencies and enterprises in Russia, Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son highlighted the traditional and loyal friendship between Vietnam and Russia.
"During the past struggles for national independence and the current national construction and defense, Vietnam has received help from the former Soviet Union and the now Russian Federation. With our comprehensive strategic partnership, we expect to expand bilateral trade to 10 billion USD," said Mr. Son.
Mr. Son called for stronger cooperation in high technology, atomic energy, digital transformation, high-quality human resources training, and providing 1,000 annual scholarships to Vietnamese students in Russia.
