Developing trademarks for Vietnamese goods in Japan

(VOV/ VOVworld) - A Vietnamese trademark development association has been established in Japan to help Vietnamese goods, especially farm products and handicrafts, penetrate this demanding market. President Ngo Hung Lam made the statement at the debut ceremony in Kissarazu, Chiba prefecture, Japan, on Sunday. To this end, the association will conduct market research to make Vietnamese products more suitable to Japan’s consumer tastes and market trends.

On behalf of the Vietnamese embassy in Tokyo, Minister-Counselor Nguyen Phuong Hong expressed pleasure at the establishment of the association, which, she said, will promote Vietnam-Japan trade ties. Hong said the two nations have a great potential for strengthening bilateral relations, especially in economics, trade, and investment. She promised the embassy’s assistance and said she hopes that local authorities, businesses, non-governmental organizations, and the Japan-Vietnam Friendship Association will support the new trademark development association.
