The event will include a launching ceremony and a running event at Trinh Cong Son pedestrian street in Hanoi, along with an online race on the 84Race platform from March 21 to April 11.

Deputy Minister Nguyen Hoang Long said: “2026 is the 15th year the ministry has organized activities in response to Earth Hour. Over time, the campaign has gone beyond the symbolic act of turning off lights for 60 minutes to become a platform for raising public awareness about energy efficiency and gradually fostering regular, continuous action in both production and daily life."

"With the message  “Green Innovation – Green Future”, we want to further promote innovation across society, from policymakers and businesses to individual citizens, to build a modern, productive, and sustainable economy,” said Mr. Long.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade has also launched an online contest on energy saving in response to Earth Hour 2026.
