To date, the EU and its member states have provided over 130 billion euros in support for Ukraine and its people. This funding is aimed at maintaining Ukraine's financial stability and helping it purchase military equipment.
President of the European Council Antonio Costa said Ukraine can count on the EU’s “full and unwavering support.” He also said he hopes Ukraine will become a member of the EU in the near future.
The EU pledged to participate in Ukraine’s reconstruction, support the restoration of its economy and infrastructure, and continue to impose strong sanctions on Russia. EU leaders also said they will not make any decisions about Ukraine without the country’s participation.
