FDI hits 1.2 billion USD in January
(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam licensed 153 new foreign direct investment projects with a total registered capital of 1.2 billion USD in January.
This represented a 50% increase in the number of projects and a 3-fold increase in investment capital over the same period last year.
The processing and manufacturing industries took the lead with a combined capital of more than 710 million USD.
The northern province of Bac Giang attracted the most FDI in the first month of 2023, with nearly 800 million USD, up 12 fold, followed by HCM city and Dong Nai province.
