(VOVworld) – The Trilateral Foreign Ministers' Meeting of China, Japan and the Republic of Korea opened on Sunday in Ningbo of Zhejiang province, China.  The meeting will review cooperation progress the 3 countries have made recently, discuss preparations for their summit scheduled for mid this year and exchange views on international and regional issues of mutual concerns. The meeting is under the spotlight amidst mounting tension following Pyongyang’s satellite launch plan. Earlier, at separate talks with Foreign Ministers from Japan and the Republic of Korea, Khoichiro Gemba and Kim Sung-hwan, Chinese Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi said maintaining peace and stability in the Korean peninsula and lasting stability in Northeast Asia is in line with interests of parties involved. He said China hopes parties involved will resolve satisfactorily pending issues through peaceful means.
