Switzerland’s Ambassador Thomas Gass said, "I’m really impressed with Fansipan and Sapa. This is a wonderful opportunity to meet other diplomats, other international organisations based in Vietnam, the local authorities, and to spend the whole morning walking in the villages and meeting the different minority groups that live here in the region, and discovering some of the wonderful diversity of this country.”

Myanmar’s Deputy Chief of Mission to Vietnam May Thet Htun said, “We can promote so that more Myanmar people come here. And then I can share my experience to my people, so they know more about Sapa and this district. Myanmar and Vietnam are not only ASEAN members, but also member countries to many organisations. There are a lot of Vietnamese investors in Myanmar, so we can promote the bilateral cooperation, trade, and investment.”

Vietnam has a cultural diversity that not many countries have, according to Palestine’s Ambassador Saadi Salama. “In the past, everyone knew Vietnam through wars. But now they learn about Vietnam’s socio-economic development and wonderful tourist attractions. I think Vietnam will gradually become an important destinations for foreigners,” he said.

The International Friendship Exchange-Spring 2023 was co-organised by The Vietnam Union of Friendship Organisations and Lao Cai province and welcomed nearly 150 delegates from 34 embassies, and international organisations.
