(VOVworld)- French fighter jets launched their biggest raids in Syria to date, targeting an ISIS stronghold in Raqqa just two days after the group claimed responsibility for the coordinated attacks in Paris that killed about 130 people, officials said Sunday.  The raid involved 12 aircraft, including 10 fighter jets, and was launched simultaneously from the United Arab Emirates and Jordan, officials from the Defense Ministry said in a statement. "The first target destroyed was used by ISIS as a commanding post. The second target housed a terrorist training camp," the ministry said. The operation was carried out in coordination with U.S. forces, French officials said. The targets were identified based on previous reconnaissance missions conducted by France.
