G20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors meeting opens

(VOVworld) - Finance ministers and central bankers from the Group of 20 advanced and emerging economies are meeting in the Peruvian capital of Lima to discuss global economic growth in the context of China’s fluctuating economy.

Officials are expected to discuss measures by the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development to curb multinational firms avoiding the payment of taxes.
Prior to the meeting, Japan's Finance Minister Taro Aso and central bank chiefs from Japan, China and South Korea held trilateral talks.
The countries committed to improve information channels, and carry out effective macro-economic policies to boost economic growth to set each country on the right track. They also suggested promoting structural reforms to boost economic growth.
