Great national unity - precious tradition and asset of the nation

(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam marked 91 years since the founding of the Vietnam Fatherland Front’s traditional day on November 18. For nearly a century, the VFF, despite changing organizational forms and names, has symbolized national unity, national pride, and the wisdom and strength of generations of Vietnamese people.

On the occasion, VFF President Do Van Chien sent a message to people nationwide: “Great national unity is a precious tradition and asset of the nation. In any circumstance, it’s important to preserve this fine tradition and pass it on to our descendants. Those in charge of the Front’s work at all levels should consider it an honor to contribute to the cause of national unity. Let's overcome all difficulties to complete the assigned tasks. You can find your own happiness in the joy of the people and the nation.”

On Wednesday, Deputy Chairmen of the National Assembly separately attended Great National Unity Festivals in Residential Area No.6 of Vi Thanh City in Hau Giang province, and in Truong Quang Trong ward of Quang Ngai city.

They encouraged local people to continue to respond to the movements launched by the Vietnam Fatherland Front, including “Vietnamese prioritize the use of made-in-Vietnam goods”, “All people unite to build new-style rural areas and civilized urban areas”, and programs for sustainable poverty reduction.

They also called for more attention to crop and domestic animal restructuring and mutual support in production and trade development.

Other Great National Unity Festivals have been held in hamlets and villages nationwide.
