Hai Phong city leads foreign investment attraction in 2021
(VOVWORLD) - The northern port city of Hai Phong surpassed HCM city, Hanoi, and Binh Duong to become the top destination for foreign investment in Vietnam last year.
Hai Phong attracted more than 5.2 billion USD in registered foreign capital in 2021, a 3.5-fold increase against 2020. It was followed by the southern province of Long An and HCM city.
South Korean electronics giant LG is the biggest FDI business in Hai Phong with a total investment of more than 4.6 billion USD, including more than 2.1 billion USD in additional registered capital last year.
