The partnership will expand training in digital skills and creative thinking for teachers, students, startups, small and medium-sized businesses, as well as local designers and content creators.
Lam Dinh Thang, director of the municipal Department of Science and Technology, said the agreement shows that Ho Chi Minh City has become a base for domestic tech unicorns and an attractive destination for global firms.
He said the agreement will build a stronger digital innovation environment, improve human resources, support digital transformation, enhance the city’s competitiveness, and open new opportunities for sustainable cooperation and investment.
Elle Liu, Canva’s lead in Vietnam, said the platform, which has close to 300 million users worldwide, chose Ho Chi Minh City for its innovation landscape and is committed to a long-term partnership to support the development of high quality creative talent.
