(VOVworld)-Ho Chi Minh City held a meeting on Friday to celebrate Cuba’s 54^th  National Day, which falls on January 1. Despite the US embargo, Cuba has made an economic growth rate of 3.1%. The President of the HCM City Vietnam-Cuba Friendship Association, Hoang Thi Khanh, said the city has done its utmost to promote the traditional bilateral ties:“We treasure Cuba’s support during Vietnam’s resistance war and want to promote out association’s activities. We have mobilized more support especially for Cuban children while strengthening cultural exchanges to promoted mutual understanding”
