Ho Chi Minh City starts a new school year
(VOVworld) - Ho Chi Minh City’s Department of Education and Training on Sunday convened a meeting to review the 2011-2012 academic year and discuss tasks for the 2012-2013 period. The city will continue comprehensive reforms with the establishment of excellent and modern schools for international integration. More attention will be given education management, teachers and facilities.
The new academic year will start on August 15th in the city. Nearly 2,000 schools have been upgraded and nearly 4,000 teachers have been enrolled. Le Hong Son, Director of the City’s Department of Education and Training, said: “Preparations for the new academic year, including facilities and teachers, have been going well. We have completed the training of trainers. Lists of students have been finalized. All schools are ready to welcome all students in the city”.
