Ho Chi Minh City works with Japanese businesses in urban development
(VOVWORLD) -Urban development cooperation between Ho Chi Minh city and Japan will help address challenges of Vietnam’s modernization and develop the traditional relationship between the two countries, said Chairman of Ho Chi Minh city People’s Committee Nguyen Thanh Phong.
At a reception for Keiji Kimura, President of Japan Conference on Overseas Development of Eco-Cities (J-CODE) on Friday, Mr. Phong said he hopes both sides will have more opportunities to work with each other in urban development, combining harmoniously Vietnam’s climate characteristics with Japan’s urban development model.
Mr. Kimura said he expects to cooperate with Ho Chi Minh city in providing experience, solutions, and advanced technology to develop the city into a modern, sustainable, and environmentally-friendly urban center.
