(VOVWORLD) -Hue Ao Dai Festival 2024, held on Monday in Hue city, showcased collections of exquisite ao dai inspired by phoenix motifs found in the architecture and royal attire of the Nguyen Dynasty.

Chief organizer Nguyen Phuoc Hai Trung, Deputy Director of the Hue Monuments Conservation Center, said, "The festival showcases the rich clothing culture of the Vietnamese people through ao dai that express royal court motifs. This celebration gives new momentum to Hue's cultural identity and conveys the message that the traditional cultural values of Vietnam will endure forever."
The program was organized into three parts, each narrating the legend of the phoenix – the eternal symbol of beauty, grace, virtue, and happiness – and blending fashion, singing, dancing, and music, highlighting both traditional and contemporary melodies from Hue, including remixed versions and dances inspired by royal court performances.
Pham Thi Thanh Truc, a visitor from Dak Lak, said, "I’m very happy and honored to attend this wonderful event in Hue. I hope everyone will come together to preserve the beautiful tradition of the Hue ao dai."
