(VOVworld) – Ivory Coast voters went to the polls on Sunday for a parliamentary election that incumbent President Alassane Ouattara hopes will maintain his strong majority.

Speaking on television channel, Ouattara called on voters to support him and his objectives in the next four years.

1,337 candidates are standing for 255 seats.
