Presented by Foreign Minister Takeshi Iwaya at a Cabinet meeting on Tuesday, the Bluebook highlighted Vietnam's strategic geopolitical position along South China Sea (East Sea) routes, the third largest population in Southeast Asia, and a fast-growing middle class, making it a promising market.

It also said that since COVID-19 began, more foreign companies, including Japanese ones, have moved production to Vietnam to diversify supply chains. The Bluebook says Vietnam aims to become a developed country by 2045 and achieve net-zero carbon emissions by 2050, while pushing for green and digital transformation.

Vietnam is working to keep its economy stable by stabilizing the macroeconomy, controlling inflation, developing infrastructure, and improving the investment environment to attract foreign capital.
