Leaders of Vietnam and India exchange greetings on 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations

(VOVWORLD) - Deputy Foreign Minister Nguyen Quoc Dung and Indian Ambassador Pranay Verma on Friday exchanged congratulatory letters between President Nguyen Xuan Phuc and Indian President Ram Nath Kovind, greetings between Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and greetings between National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue and Indian Vice President, Senate Speaker Venkaiah Naidu and House Speaker Om Birla.

The exchange of greetings took place in Hanoi on Friday to mark the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and India, January 7.  

In their congratulatory letters, leaders of the two countries expressed their pleasure over the friendly and traditional relationship between Vietnam and India, which has been flourishing over the past 50 years and affirmed the desire and determination to further relations between the two countries and peoples.
