(VOV) – Nearly 50 Overseas Vietnamese of Hau Giang province on Wednesday met at a new year meeting organized by the provincial authorities.

Chairman of Hau Giang People’s Committee Tran Cong Chanh sent new year wishes to the overseas Vietnamese and called on their support and investment in projects implemented in the province like agricultural areas using high-tech, eco-tourism complex and systems of agricultural product processing centers for new rural development program and support the poor and policy beneficiaries.

On the same day, Da Nang city’s People’s Committee met 500 of more than 2,000 overseas Vietnamese who returned to their homeland on the occasion of Lunar new year. Le Ngoc Dung who is in charge of communication of overseas Vietnamese from Da Nang said overseas Vietnamese are delighted at the country’s great changes. He expressed  his wish that Da Nang will further develop to become a civilized and friendly city.
