More deaths reported worldwide as COVID-19 worsens

(VOVWORLD) -As of Monday, more than 14,600 people had died from the COVID-19 pandemic and nearly 340,000 confirmed cases had been reported in 192 countries and territories.

The total number of infections in Europe has exceeded 150,000 cases. Nearly 60,000  people have been infected in Italy, of which more than 5,400 have died. That’s more than 38% of all the COVID-19 deaths worldwide. Spain, Germany, and France also have large numbers of infected people.

Iran is now the hotspot of the COVID-19 pandemic in Asia. 129 people died of coronavirus in the last 24 hours, pushing Iran’s death toll to nearly 1,700.
