More Vietnamese disciplines rise in global rankings

(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam has 13 higher education institutions ranked across 23 disciplines on the Quacquarelli Symonds’ 2026 world university rankings by subjects and disciplines. The rankings are based on data from 1,912 universities worldwide and represent the largest edition to date.

QS provides overall rankings across five subjects: Arts and Humanities, Engineering and Technology, Life Sciences and Medicine, Natural Sciences, and Social Sciences and Management, along with rankings in 55 specific disciplines.

Vietnam has 7 universities featured in the rankings by field increased by 3 compared to last year, the highest number ever. Among them, Van Lang University ranked 260th in the Arts and Humanities field, the highest in Vietnam. Duy Tan University continued to hold a high position in the Engineering and Technology field. The Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City topped the country in both Natural Sciences and Social Sciences and Management.

The ranking criteria are based on teaching quality, contributions to scientific research, and the level of international research network.
