In his address at a nationwide online conference to review preparations for the general election, NA Chairman Man, who is also Chairman of the National Election Council (NEC), asked for full use of information technology in voter engagement work, especially online meetings, to increase voter turnout.
He reiterated lessons learned from the 2021 election and stressed the need to promote the great national unity bloc and clear communication to ensure transparency, publicity, and democracy.
“First, it’s necessary to uphold the great national unity bloc, the people's trust and consensus, their sense of responsibility, as well as the active participation of the entire political system. These factors will decide the election's success."
"Second, Party committees' attentive leadership and supervision at all levels are of utmost importance. The close coordination, cooperation, and tasks assignment between relevant agencies and organizations will help strengthen consensus and ensure smooth progress."
"Third, communication works must be carried out comprehensively, clearly, and with a focus, to people from all walks of life, through diverse formats. Every step of the preparation for the upcoming election must ensure transparency, publicity, democracy, and fairness," according to NA Chairman Man.
