Speaking at the meeting in Dong Thap province, Chairman Man, who is also President of the National Election Council, urged Dong Thap to continue reviewing, compiling, updating, and posting voter lists, ensuring the voting rights of citizens, especially those working or studying far from home, people with disabilities, and the elderly.
Attention should be paid to areas with specific characteristics; the list and brief biographies of candidates should be compiled, published, and posted in a complete, and accurate manner, he said. Dong Thap province needs to strengthen information dissemination, raise awareness and responsibility among voters, and encourage full voter turnout.

“It’s imperative to thoroughly understand and fully implement the important directives of Party General Secretary To Lam at the national conference on the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term," Mr. Man said.
"Efforts should be made to ensure that the election is conducted democratically, legally, safely, and economically, so as to select outstanding individuals with virtue and talent, worthy of representing the will, aspirations, and right to self-governance of the people in the National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels. The lists of candidates for consultation must be carefully selected, ensuring that those who meet the criteria are qualified and fulfill the requirements.”
