(VOVWORLD) - On Thursday, the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam announced the election results and approved the list of members of the 14th Party Central Committee.

The list, officially released on Thursday evening, comprises 200 members, including 180 full members and 20 alternate members. The number of members of the 14th Party Central Committee remains unchanged from the 13th Party Congress.
Of the 180 full members elected, 123 represent central agencies and 57 come from localities.
Those elected from central agencies include General Secretary of the Party Central Committee To Lam; Permanent Member of the Party Central Committee’s Secretariat Tran Cam Tu; National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man; Head of the Party Central Committee’s Organization Commission Le Minh Hung; Head of the Party Central Committee’s Inspection Commission Tran Sy Thanh; Deputy Prime Minister Pham Thi Thanh Tra; Minister of National Defense Phan Van Giang; Minister of Public Security Luong Tam Quang; Minister of Health Dao Hong Lan; Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Kim Son; and President of the Voice of Vietnam Do Tien Sy, among others.
