Minister of Education and Training presented the Draft Report on reforming school books

(VOVworld)- The National Assembly Standing Committee on Saturday discussed the government’s draft proposal and the National Assembly’s draft resolution on reforming school books. According to the government proposal, the National Assembly needs to issue a resolution on reforming school books to institutionalize Party guidelines on education, meet the demands of reforming education and improve the quality of human resources in compliance with the new Constitution. Phung Quoc Hien is Head of the National Assembly’s Finance and Budget Committee: “ I agree with the proposal on maintaining 9 years for primary and secondary education and 12 years for general education. At the upper secondary education level, we need to focus on job guidance. However, we still need to reform school books to implement the one-education policy”.

The delegates agreed on the proposal on using various books for each subject and socializing the compilation and publication of school books in an appropriate and conditional manner.
