National Assembly Standing Committee meets
(VOVWORLD) - The establishment of Thu Duc city in Ho Chi Minh city and Phu Quoc city in Kien Giang province and grassroots-level administrative units was discussed at the ongoing 51st session of the National Assembly Standing Committee, which opened in Hanoi on Wednesday.

Legislators gave opinions on the revised Law on Drug Prevention and Control and the draft Ordinance on Preferential Treatment for People with Meritorious Service to the Revolution.
The Committee prepared for the next session of the 14th National Assembly and the election of deputies to the 15th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2021-2026 tenure. It also reviewed external relations activities in 2020 and plans for 2021 of the National Assembly Committees, the National Assembly Office, and the State Audit.
