National Assembly Standing Committee opens 35th session

(VOVWORLD) -The Standing Committee of the National Assembly convened their 35th session in Hanoi on Wednesday.

Delivering the opening speech, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man said that this session will learn from the previous 7th Session of the 15th National Assembly and consider the preparations for the 8th Session.

The Standing Committee will evaluate the outcome of the 7th session, pay attention to the recommendations of members of the National Assembly Standing Committee, the Government, the People's Court, the People's Procuracy, the Vietnam Fatherland Front, and central agencies to improve the quality of the 8th Session and subsequent sessions, according to Chairman Man.

At the ongoing session,  full-time deputies will consider and approve a draft resolution on the dissolution, establishment and merger of a number of criminal investigation agencies of military zones, and a draft resolution on strengthening the organizational structure of the Military Procuracy at all levels.

They will decide on supplementing the 2024 state budget regular expenditure estimates of the Ministry of National Defense and the Ministry of Public Security. The session will deliberate adjusting the medium-term public investment plan from the State budget for ministries, central agencies and localities in the 2021-2025 period.
