(VOVworld)- Politburo member and National Assembly Vice Chairwoman Tong Thi Phong has praised Gia Lai province for its achievements in socio-economic development and national defense. Meeting with provincial authorities in Gia Lai on Tuesday, Ms Phong, said that at its 5^th session, the National Assembly cast a vote of confidence on officials elected and approved by the National Assembly. She asked the province to learn from the experience gained by this move. Ms Phong said:“This is a new activity, so we need to draw from the experience to make it more effective and successful. Complying with the National Assembly’s resolution, provincial leaders strictly followed the procedures of vote confidence at the level of People’s Council with the principle of ensuring the Party leadership in personnel work”.

The same day, Ms Phong visited and presented gifts to local revolutionary veterans.
