National Brand Week promotes Vietnamese brands

(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam’s was the fastest-growing national brand in 2020. Its value surged 29 percent to 319 billion USD, putting it 33rd on the list of the world’s 100 most valuable national brands.

Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Do Thang Hai cited that achievement at the launch ceremony of Vietnam National Brand Week 2021 in Ho Chi Minh City on Monday. Mr. Hai said that in 2021, the first year of implementing the 13th Party Congress Resolution and the socio-economic development plan until 2025, Vietnamese businesses will continue building and protecting the national brand.

"Vietnam has been deepening its integration into the global economy," he said, "And in addition to opportunities brought by the free trade agreements that we have already signed or are discussing with international partners, there are also several challenges for Vietnamese businesses. I believe National Brand Week will help Vietnamese businesses increase their competitiveness in both domestic and foreign markets."

Vietnam has observed National Brand Day on April 20 since 2018, in order to strengthen national brand identity and promote products recognized as national brands by the Government. There will be a seminar on promoting Vietnamese brands in Hanoi this Wednesday.
