Naval Region 5 begins Tet visit to southwestern island
(VOVWORLD) - Naval Region 5 Command on Friday began visiting military personnel and civilians on Vietnam’s southwestern frontline islands ahead of the Lunar New Year Festival 2026.

The delegation, including more than 200 representatives from several southern provinces, media agencies, mass organizations, and businesses, will visit islands in An Giang and Ca Mau provinces, including Phu Quoc and Tho Chu.
"We are truly happy, honored, and proud to welcome delegations who came to extend Tết greetings. Receiving peach blossom branches from the North makes us feel as though we are celebrating the Lunar New Year at home," Lieutenant Nguyen Van Duy from Brigade 127 said.
