NGOs pledge 2 million USD for Lao Cai during 2023 International Friendship Exchange
(VOVWORLD) - The International Friendship Exchange – Spring 2023 concluded in Lao Cai on Monday with foreign NGOs pledging more than 2 million USD in aid for the northern mountainous province.

The event attracted 150 delegates from foreign embassies, international organizations, and NGOs in Vietnam.
The participants climbed to the top of Mount Fansipan, the highest peak in Indochina, attended exchanges, and enjoyed local music and art performances.
“We’ll cherish unforgettable memories of Lao Cai with its beautiful places and hospitable people,” said Palestinian Ambassador Saadi Salama.
The annual event held by the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations aims to create a chance for international friends to visit historical and cultural relic sites and landscapes, and exchange with local authorities and people.
