(VOVworld) – The Nhan Dan (People) online newspaper marked its 15^th founding anniversary on Monday and received the State’s Labor Order, third class. Beginning on June 21, 1998, Nhan Dan was Vietnam’s first official daily to go online. Since then the newspaper has constantly expanded from only Vietnamese pages to English, Chinese, video clips and mobile versions. It is also about to go online in French and Russian. Pham Song Ha, Head of Editorial Board of Nhan Dan online newspaper, outlined future directions: “We will reform ourselves comprehensively in terms of content, format, convenience, and readers-friendliness. We will provide accurate and diverse information, particularly for our targeted foreign audiences. We will work towards launching a TV channel and utilizing the advantages of multimedia technology”.
