Television footage showed a group of 7 officials, crossing the heavily-fortified border on a bus before arriving at Seoul train station about an hour later. The trip comes two weeks after the neighbors agreed to send athletes and artistic troupes to the Winter Games. The two nations also agreed to march together at the opening ceremony under a unification flag and to form a joint women's ice hockey team. This is considered a breakthrough in the two nations’ sport history and an ice-breaking signal in the relationships.
