(VOVWORLD) - Artisans from flower farms and gardens across Me Linh district of Hanoi gather on Thursday at the 2024 Me Linh Flower Festival, which aims to honor the value of flower villages and their craft.

This year’s festival, the largest of its kind in northern Vietnam, features more than 50 rose varieties.
A representative from Duy Long Garden in Me Linh District, said, “We are displaying 50 large roses and 2,000 to 3,000 small potted plants at the festival, including many exotics rose varieties such as Our Lady and Summer Snow. We want to introduce everyone across Vietnam to Me Linh’s abundant rose varieties and their value.”
The festival features a contest for decorating “flower bikes” made from recycled materials, a painting competition, a giant collage of flowers, an “ao dai” fashion show, and art performances by attending organisations, street musicians, and circus performers.

During the festival, the Me Linh district People’s Committee is collaborating with the Hanoi Promotion Agency on Investment, Trade and Tourism to host more than 100 booths showcasing OCOP and agriculture goods, as well as craft villages’ products.
