Pacific Alliance Film Festival starts in Da Nang

(VOVWORLD) - The central city of Da Nang, in cooperation with the embassies of Chile, Columbia, Peru and Mexico are hosting the Pacific Alliance Film Festival on December 6-8.

The event aims to introduce the best films to local audiences and visitors during the three-day festival. The festival will feature the film Violetta Went to Heaven, directed by Andrés Wood of Peru, The Kids are Back, a comedy, directed by Mexican Hugo Lara, Old Friends, with Peru’s director Fernando Villerán, and Lila’s Book, an animation by Columbian Marcela Rincón. All films are dubbed in Vietnamese, and tickets are free and can be picked up at the Le Do theater. Jaime Chomali of the Chilean Embassy said: "We hope the film festival will be a start for further cultural cooperation and exchanges between our countries. The festival showcases the richness and diversity of each country. We hope to learn from you, your ancient culture and future orientations."
