(VOVworld) – Leaders of Phu Yen province paid Christmas visits to Catholic and Protestant dignitaries and followers over the weekend. The leaders promised favorable conditions for religious practice and involvement in national construction. Priest Nguyen Huy Diep, Chairman of Phu Yen Committee for Catholic Solidarity, said he will continue to call on Catholic dignitaries and followers to implement the Party’s guidelines and the State’s policies and lead good secular and religious lives.

Ahead of Christmas day, authorities of An Giang province visited 32 local bishop offices, churches, and priests’ families. During the meetings, priests thanked local administration for facilitating religious practice and building infrastructure in rural areas.
