(VOV) - A delegation of the Communist Party of Vietnam is attending a symposium on green development at the International Conference of Asian Political Parties (ICAPP) in Xian city of China’s Shaanxi province. The delegation was led by Vuong Thua Phong, Deputy Head of the Party Central Committee’s External Relations Commission. Representatives from 30 countries shared their experiences in environmental protection, green and sustainable development in the context of the specific conditions of their countries. They agreed that green development has become the driving force behind steady growth and that political parties need to boost international cooperation to achieve a realistic green development model. The conference adopted the Xian Initiative, calling on Asian political parties to pay more attention to green development and for stronger international cooperation in the interests of a more beautiful Asia.
