Party leader arrives in US for Gaza Board of Peace’s inaugural meeting

(VOVWORLD) -The special aircraft carrying Party General Secretary To Lam and the high-level Vietnamese delegation touched down at Joint Base Andrews in Maryland (USA) on Wednesday noon (local time). The Party leader was set to attend the inaugural meeting of the Gaza Board of Peace at the invitation of President Donald Trump, also the Board’s Founding Chairman.

During the visit, General Secretary Lam and other members of the Board will exchange views and identify the tasks the Board will undertake to implement the peace plan for the Gaza region in accordance with Resolution 2830 of the UN Security Council.
General Secretary Lam's attendance demonstrates Vietnam's support and readiness to participate in the international community's common efforts for peace and development. This also concretizes the cooperation agreement on international issues within the framework of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between Vietnam and the United States.
