Vietnam affirms its role as a founding member of Board of Peace
(VOVWORLD) - Party General Secretary To Lam will leave Vietnam on Wednesday for the United States to attend the inaugural meeting of the Board of Peace on Gaza in Washington D.C., representing Vietnam as a founding member.

In an interview with VOV, Vietnamese Ambassador to the US Nguyen Quoc Dung emphasized that the visit demonstrates Vietnam’s strong commitment to international peace efforts.
“The Party General Secretary will, together with other members, discuss the Board’s agenda to implement the peace plan for the Gaza region in accordance with UN Security Council Resolution 2830. The participation of Vietnam’s top leadership demonstrates its commitment to the international community’s collective efforts for peace and development,” he said.
According to Ambassador Dung, Vietnam’s role as a founding member of the Board of Peace reflects the country’s consistent foreign policy of integration and fulfilling shared international missions.
The visit will also strengthen political trust, expand substantive cooperation, and provide additional momentum for Vietnam-US relations in the coming period.
