(VOVWORLD) - Several major newspapers in Egypt on Tuesday published articles affirming that the documents of the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam have set a strategic, long-term and deeply human system of national development goals.

Elsoot, Liga Hispano, and several other Egyptian outlets reported that the Congress documents have continued the development mindset of previous congresses and demonstrated a strong renewal in vision, approach, and development values.
A consistent and foundational highlight is the coherent affirmation of the viewpoint: “People are the center, the subject, the goal, and the driving force of development”.
This is a continuation of Ho Chi Minh’s thought and the revolutionary tradition of the Communist Party of Vietnam, as well as a response to the requirements of modern and sustainable development in the new context.
Vietnam views development not merely as growth in GDP, but as the improvement of the Human Development Index (HDI), the protection of human rights and citizens’ rights, a safe and healthy living environment, and equitable access to fundamental services such as education, healthcare, housing, and culture. The documents point to a growth model based on the knowledge, skills, and creativity of the Vietnamese people.
Once implemented in a consistent, substantive and effective manner, these goals will create a solid foundation for Vietnam to achieve rapid and sustainable development, safeguard independence and self-reliance, and realize its aspiration to build a prosperous and happy nation in the decades ahead.
