(VOVworld)- Vietnam and the Philippines should have closer cooperation in search and rescue, training activities, and joint sea patrols, said Deputy Defense Minister Do Ba Ty while receiving the Philippines’ Vice Admiral Alexander P Pama in Hanoi on Tuesday. Senior Lieutenant General Ty praised the visit, which aims to implement an agreement on bilateral defense ties and a memorandum of understanding on strengthening cooperation, exchanging information, and promoting mutual understanding between the two countries’ naval forces.
