The Prime Minister said Vietnam has identified green transformation in the digital age as a top priority, an objective requirement, and a strategic choice. The COP26 Steering Committee has implemented many tasks and achieved significant results. Institutional frameworks and policy mechanisms for climate change response have been given attention and improved. Many businesses have strongly shifted towards green investments, clean technologies, and low-emission models.
To enhance coordination capacity in delivering commitments made at COP26, PM Chinh requested participants to comprehensively assess what has been done so far, and propose key tasks for the Steering Committee going forward, particularly the orientations and objectives of the 14th National Party Congress on rapid and sustainable development.
COP26 was held in Glasgow, Scotland (United Kingdom) in 2021.
