PM chairs government’s monthly meeting

(VOVWORLD) - Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh chaired the government’s monthly meeting of October on Saturday to review Vietnam’s socio-economic development last month and in the first 10 months of this year, tasks for the remaining months of this year, and the fight against COVID-19.

The Prime Minister said there were several important events in October including the 4th Plenum of the 13th Party Central Committee and the 2nd session of the 15th National Assembly. He said the government prepared several documents and reports to submit to the Party Central Committee and the National Assembly focusing on socio-economic development and the fight against the pandemic. The government issued Resolution 128 on temporary regulations on safe, flexible adaptation and effective containment of the COVID-19 pandemic. The Prime Minister said that regulations under Resolution 128 are prompt to the situation.

Regarding external affairs, the Prime Minister attended the 38th and 39th ASEAN Summits and the 26th United Nations Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP26), paid a visit to the UK and an official visit to France.

The Prime Minister asked cabinet members to discuss, thoroughly evaluate the situation in the last 10 months, and work out measures for November and December, - the two important months for economic recovery and growth and social security. Prime Minister Chinh said it’s time for the government to prepare plans concerning economic restructuring until 2025, green growth, the fight against the pandemic, and economic recovery until 2023.
